About the event
Spruce Meadows welcomes the world for one of the most prestigious weeks of international show jumping from September 9–13.
The ‘Masters’ brings leading international riders, Olympic-level competitors, championship horses, and spectators from around the globe to Calgary. As one of only four Majors in the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, the ‘Masters’ stands among the sport’s most celebrated events.
Competition highlights include Friday's fan-favourite ATCO Electric Six Bar, where last year two horse-and-rider combinations cleared nearly seven feet to break a 21-year Spruce Meadows record, followed by a spectacular fireworks display choreographed to a live band. Saturday features the BMO Nations’ Cup, where riders unite to represent their countries in a high-stakes team competition. Sunday culminates with the CPKC ‘International’, presented by Rolex, where the world's best compete for a $5 million prize purse. All eyes will be on Richard Vogel, who would become only the second rider ever to claim the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping title with a victory at Spruce Meadows.
Beyond the International Ring, the ‘Masters’ welcomes international performers including His Majesty’s Band of the Welsh Guards from London, England, and Germany’s Celle Stallions, alongside the Blacksmith World Championships, 120+ vendors and artists, food and beverage, Kids’ Zone programming, corgi and dachshund races, live entertainment and more throughout the grounds.
